About Bequestry
A private registry for the stories behind the things that get passed down.
Most families end up with a mental list of who should get what — a grandmother's ring, a grandfather's watch, a hand-stitched quilt — and the reasons behind each one live only in someone's memory. That memory doesn't transfer well, and by the time it matters, the person who held it is often the one who's gone.
Bequestry exists to hold that list, and the story behind it, somewhere durable: photographed, described in your own words, assigned to the person you have in mind, with your reasoning attached and, if you want, a personal letter to go with it.
What we believe
Everything runs on your device
No account, no backend, and no sync service. Your heirloom records, photos, and letters never leave your device unless you choose to export or share them.
Works with no signal
Every screen, including the bequest PDF preview and export, works offline. The only moment the app touches the network is an optional one-time purchase or restore.
Your data belongs to you
No analytics, no crash reporting, no ad SDKs, no trackers. A single "Delete All My Data" control erases every record and every photo file, permanently, whenever you want.
A record of your wishes, not a legal document
Bequestry records your intentions in your own words. It is not a will, trust, or legally binding estate document, and it does not replace one. It is not legal advice — talk to an attorney for anything that needs legal effect.
One codebase, both stores
iOS and Android from a single build, so the app looks and feels native and correct at every size, in light and dark mode.
